My lovely author and blogger friend, Jane Dougherty, has just released her Green Woman Trilogy as a single volume at the amazing price of just $3.99. I’m loving the vibrant new cover! Here she is to tell you more…

jane bio picThank you, Ali, for letting me borrow your blog today for a bit of blatant self-publicity.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. It ended up being a mammoth operation, but it’s done, finally, the three books of The Green Woman series are available in a single volume. It’s on pre-order at the moment. Release day is Saturday April 18th.

And here’s the new blurb.

She is the light in the darkness, the fiery beacon, but the world’s fate seems such a little thing when the light in her heart is dead.

  1. It is a beautiful cover. I popped over to her blog to read the full blurb – sounds super!

  2. Great choice for a reblog, David. Good food for thought for me as well, because… Listening to advice from others i thought my “The Dead of Winter” was too large to publish. However, the huge job of re-editing and figuring out where to divide it into a trilogy sent it to the bottom of my long list of priorities. Maybe I don’t need to do that after all… Huge hugs. 🙂

    • Thanks Teagan. From my point of view I’ve read LOTR in separate books and as a single book and enjoyed both. It often cheaper to but one book than three which has to be a buying consideration for some people.
Yes, maybe you need to bring it back p the last now.

  3. I noticed that Joyce Carol Oates’s latest novel was over 1000 pages. The reception has been mixed to say the least and many people say it’s too long but there are people who like ‘big reads’. I agree on the cover and it’s a great option for a series.

    • Thank you Olga. The cover is fantastic isn’t it. The size of a book is a matter of taste but surely you can always put it down after the first part if you need a break and come back to it later. No-one suggests it has to be read at one sitting. As an ebook you can dip in and out as you like.

  4. Thanks for re-blogging Jane’s post David! And I agree with you, it doesnt have to be read in one go. But how wonderful when you have read the first, and loved it, that the second and third are already at your fingertips!

    • I agree Ali and that’s how I like it. No pauses then, can’t understand why anyone would complain, it’s a win-win situation..
Thanks for letting me pinch it.

  5. Thanks, Jane, Ali, and David for the information on these books. 🙂
