Someone is taking YOUR work and giving it away for free. An author is entitled to be paid for their work or at least to decide if the book is to be free. Stop these sites and reclaim your property.

I think I’ve been ripped off by something called Gamivu https://sites.google.com/a/freeebookdownload.prodealspot.com/gamivu/Fathers-and-Demons-Glimpses-of-the-Future one of those illegal book sites…

Please let everyone know about this site so they can check for their books and help close this site down.

  1. Thanks for the heads-up, David. People just do the most despicable things…
    Hugs to you, my friend.

  2. I thoroughly despise thieves. Thanks for the post, David.

    • There are many authors with their first book permanently free. It only takes someone to ask. But this way is out and out stealing from people who sweat to create a story. They deserve recompense.
      Thanks Jack.

  3. Tweeted this post, thieves and scoundrels.

  4. Thanks for the alert, David.

  5. Thanks for the warning. Luckily my book is obscure enough even these guys don’t know about it. Hope you are doing well!!!!

  6. Thanks for spreading the message David🙂

  7. Thanks for posting David – I’ll pass this on!

  8. Thanks, David, I read Chris’ blog and reblogged also. I also put it out on several social networks. Massive Hugs 🙂

  9. It’s like the Medusa. You chop one head off and several more are born. Proper policing would be very difficult but wonder what the real options to avoid it are.

    • I really don’t know. There are just so many crooks out there. I’m sure some people don’t realise the damage they cause but the majority just don’t care. All we can do is keep taking the sites down rather than work on one book at a time.
      xxx Massive Hugs xxx

  10. I am glad to see the original site is now taken down (I checked the original link and doesn’t appear to be there anymore). Hugs for your day, David!

  11. Piracy has always been an abomination, and never more so than today when private individuals with notable talent find the work they produce stolen before they can enjoy the smallest profit from it. Well done indeed for bringing this to our attention !

    • Thanks Peter. It’s enough to make some authors reconsider the free giveaways that are sometimes the start of name recognition. For big gambling firms allow this method of bringing players in is despicable.
      Hugs

  12. Will read later when the migraine lets up😦
