  3. Great choice to share, David. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Intensely hot and humid here, but the sunshine is lovely to see. No changes on the work front. Mega hugs.

    • Thanks so much Teagan. The weekend is going fine, warm and sunny despite Autumn being here. I’m sorry the work front remains the same. Some employers don’t know what they’re missing.

  8. Hi, The lovely Roberta Pimentel suggested that I contact you and some of your contemporaries on a question that I have. I’m old (61, sigh) yet new to blogging. I’ve been addicted to reading my entire life. Decades ago I began writing reviews just for myself. So I was excited when Goodreads came along and I had a venue to write reviews. I have many followers on my Goodreads site but not many on my blog. I’m trying to find others that use their blog for book reviews only. Historical fiction is my favorite genre but I can’t seem to find others (even with my tags or using “recommendations”) who also enjoy that genre. So my question is do you know how I can attract others who also love to learn history while reading fiction? Warm regards, Martie https://books

    • Hi Martie, I’d say you’re going the right way about it now. Blogging and following others gets you followers too who will then tweet to their own followers. If you want to be more direct you can check for groups on Twitter that like history or that like reviews. Then try direct tweets like
“Like History, like Reviews? Follow me on Twitter or my Blog ………… Want your History book reviewing?”
I hope you find exactly what you want.

    • Incidentally 61 isn’t old. I didn’t start writing until I was 60 and I’m 65 now.

  9. That bit about twitter was very helpful….thanks…I’ve been feeling old because those that follow me tend to be rather young…but usually I feel that life has just begun (okay maybe more than half way over, but still fun).
